2024 Year-End Fund Drive For Hope
As the year draws to a close and we celebrate 125 years of service, you have a wonderful opportunity to make an undeniable impact on the health of our community.
While other hospitals in the county are reducing their services to children and closing their pediatric units, St. Joseph’s is doing the exact opposite. Through our Humankindness for Kids initiative, we are committed to enhancing and expanding pediatric care in San Joaquin County.
Through support from caring people like you, we recently expanded our pediatrics services to include 24/7 on-site pediatric hospitalist and neonatologist coverage. And we’re now planning for a complete renovation of our Pediatric Unit, and state-of-the-art equipment to serve medically fragile infants in our NICU.
As a not-for-profit hospital, we rely on the generosity of community members like you to ensure we can continue to provide patients with exceptional care today and every day. As always, 100% of your donation stays local, ensuring the largest return on your generosity.
You may use our convenient and secure online giving tool below or contact our office directly at (209) 467-6347 to discuss your gift. Our Foundation staff is happy to work with you to ensure that your gift is meaningful to you and is used in the way you direct.
Help Us Provide Hope for Our Youngest Patients
Our unit sees over 700 patients a year with increasingly complex, multi-modality treatment needs. Most of the patients’ families don’t have the luxury of time to travel out of the area for specialty services. Evidence for service expansion and capacity is growing at a rapid pace.”
—Cristina Funghi, M.D., Chief of Pediatrics

Grade “A” Care
This spring, Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog. Leapfrog assigns grades to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
Celebrating 125 Years
From the laying of the cornerstone in March 1899 to today, what was originally St. Joseph’s Home and Hospital has grown into a nationally-recognized medical center, featuring world-class care and an exceptional Graduate Medical Education program.
